Scope of Work

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Provide onsite support to conduct specified engineering/technical evaluations, perform equipment functional checks, perform troubleshooting/test/analysis and equipment repair to support Cooperative Engagement Capability (CEC) maintenance, installation, and connectivity faults.
  • Provide onsite support to conduct specified engineering/technical evaluations, perform equipment functional checks, and assessments of Small Arms and Night Vision devices.
  • Formulate and present findings, briefings, status reports, and correspondence for all stakeholders such as Type Commanders (TYCOM), In-Service Engineering Agent (ISEA), MARMC, and Ship’s Force.
  • Perform/provide support during shipboard Combat Systems tasks including Pier Side Refurbishments, Combat Systems, Command, Control, Communications and Computer Readiness Assessment (C5RA), Combat System Post Availability Trials (CSPAT), Combat System Ship Qualification Trial (CSSQT), Integrated Comprehensive Monitoring Program (ICMP), Total Ship Readiness Assessment (TSRA), Board of Inspection and Survey (INSURV) programs, and Tech Assist events.
  • Provide Onboard Maintenance Training (OBMT) to Ship's Force technicians in the operation, repair, maintenance, and logistics support of the Cooperative Engagement Capability (CEC) variants AN/USG-2 and AN/USG-2B, including the CP-2702/USG-2B Signal Data Processor (SDP), CV-4448/USG Power Distribution Media Converter (PDMC), C-12512/USG-2 Data Processing Terminal (DPT), AN/PYM-7 Technician Control Device (TCD), TD-1477/USG Time Code Generator (TCG), MO-23/USG Environmental Controller System Controller (ECSC), C-12513/USG Antenna Environmental Control Unit (AECU), AS-4558/USG Planer Array Antenna Assembly (PAAA), AS-4460/USG Shop Board Active Aperture Antenna (SBAA), CV-4321/USG CEP Input-Output Convertor (CIOC)

Qualifications Required for the Position

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain security clearance and clearing necessary background checks/assessments as required. Active high-level Security Clearance will be required, and current Security Clearance is desired.
  • Target Experience: 4 years’ experience in troubleshooting, repair, and assessment of the aforementioned electronic systems onboard US Navy ships.
  • Desired Education - either of the following Navy Enlisted Classification Codes (NEC): V39A - Cooperative Engagement Capability (CEC) AN/USG-2 Cooperative Engagement Transmission Processing Set (CETPS) Technician or V51A - CEC AN/USG-2B Technician.
  • Have the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of military and civilian personnel.
  • Physical requirements for efficient navigation aboard US Navy ships includes possessing the physical stamina, strength, agility, and endurance to walk continuously for extended periods of time without experiencing significant fatigue, adequate upper and lower-body strength necessary to climb ladders, stairs, ramps, and work aloft, and agility necessary to enter/exit confined spaces (tanks, voids, and spaces/compartments with manhole access).
