Scope of Work
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:- Provide onsite support to perform specified engineering/technical evaluations, perform equipment functional checks, perform troubleshooting/test /analysis and equipment repair to correct AEGIS Computer Network Systems maintenance, installation, and connectivity faults.
- Provide onsite support to conduct specified engineering/technical evaluations, perform equipment functional checks, perform troubleshooting/test/analysis and equipment repair to correct MK 45 5-Inch Gun System maintenance, installation, and connectivity faults. Provide OBMT to Ship's Force technicians in the operation, repair, maintenance, and logistics support of the MK 45 5-Inch Gun System.
- Provide onsite support to conduct specified engineering/technical evaluations, equipment functional checks, troubleshooting/test/analysis and equipment repair to correct AN/SLQ-32(V)6 or AN/SLQ-32(V)7 Systems maintenance, installation, and connectivity faults.
- Provide onsite support to conduct specified engineering/technical evaluations, perform equipment functional checks, perform troubleshooting/test /analysis and equipment repair to correct MK 51 Battle Force Tactical Trainer (BFTT) and/or Ship Self Defense System (SSDS). Provide OBMT to Ship's Force technicians in the operation, repair, maintenance, and logistics support of BFTT and/or SSDS.
- Formulate and present findings, briefings, status reports, and correspondence for all stakeholders such as Type Commanders (TYCOM), In-Service Engineering Agent (ISEA), MARMC, and Ship’s Force.
- Perform/provide support during shipboard Combat Systems tasks including, ICMP, TSRA, BMDRA, INSURV programs and Tech Assist events.
- Perform/provide support during shipboard Combat Systems tasks including Pier Side Refurbishments, Combat Systems, Command, Control, Communications and Computer Readiness Assessment (C5RA), Combat System Post Availability Trials (CSPAT), Combat System Ship Qualification Trial (CSSQT), Integrated Comprehensive Monitoring Program (ICMP), Total Ship Readiness Assessment (TSRA), Board of Inspection and Survey (INSURV) programs, and Tech Assist events.
Qualifications Required for the Position
- Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain security clearance and clearing necessary background checks/assessments as required. Active high-level Security Clearance will be required, and current Security Clearance is desired.
- Target Experience: Either of: 6 years’ experience operating, maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, assessing, and testing of AN/USQ-T46 Battle Force Tactical Trainer (BFTT), and/or Ship Self Defense System (SSDS) MK 1, OA (TR), MK 2, MK 2 (OA) OR 6 years’ experience in troubleshooting, repair, assessment, operation, refurbishment, removal, and installation of AN/SLQ-32(V)6 and/or AN/SLQ-32(V)7 system components onboard US Navy ships and 3 years’ experience in basic soldering, fiber optic repair, and cable connector fabrication skills OR 6 years’ experience within the last 15 years in operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and assessment of the MK 45 5-Inch Gun System onboard US Navy ships OR 6 years’ experience operating, maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, testing, and assessing AEGIS Computer Network Systems found onboard US Navy ships.
- Desired Education – Graduate of a NAVY Aegis Computer Network “C” School or commercial Network System Administrator equivalent OR NEC V62B - 5"/54 Caliber Gun System MK-45 MOD 1 and 2 Maintenance Technician OR NEC C04A AN/SLQ-32(V)6 Electronic Warfare Systems Maintenance Technician OR NEC V18B - Ship Self Defense System (SSDS) MK 2 Maintenance Technician OR NEC AN/USQ-T46E(V) Battle Force Tactical Trainer (BFTT) System Maintenance.
- Desired Qualification: Proficiency using UNIX, LINUX, REDHAT, REDHAWK, as well as general and special purpose electronic test equipment to perform both organizational and intermediate level maintenance.
- Have the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of military and civilian personnel.
- Physical requirements for efficient navigation aboard US Navy ships includes possessing the physical stamina, strength, agility, and endurance to walk continuously for extended periods of time without experiencing significant fatigue, adequate upper and lower-body strength necessary to climb ladders, stairs, ramps, and work aloft, and agility necessary to enter/exit confined spaces (tanks, voids, and spaces/compartments with manhole access).
